Repairing Sprinkler Heads

The term "broken sprinkler head" describes a malfunction that can be caused by a wide variety of aliments in a lawn sprinkler.  More often than not, the spray head itself is intact, but the pipe or connecting nipple below the head is cracked or broken.

Replace the head with one that is compatible with the design of the system. Specifically, match the nozzle characteristics.

And then there is the possibility that the pipe or fitting below the head is broken as well.  See our web page for repairs to broken pipes next!
